Slip Paw™ Fabric Wrapped Unscrambler Belts
Stiles designed the first Slip Paw™ fabric wrapped unscrambler belts in the 1980s. We wrapped the cover edges to contain sponge particulation from belt edge ware. To extend belt life, our company began offering seamless fabric covers which eliminated the main point of belt failure. These covers are currently being applied to many types of belts for many applications including bottle, cap, and part unscramblers, orienters, and conveyor systems.
Our seamless edge wrapped Slip Paw™ (SSP) unscrambler belts have no cover splice, eliminating the splice as a potential failure point.
The fabric bonded to sponge extends the wear of the sponge, has good release, and allows accumulation of product without destroying the sponge or marking the product. When cosmetic appearance is critical, it should be noted that some belt cover fabrics are scratch resistant on easily scuffed painted, gloss or soft surfaces.
Our cellular base materials were chosen for superior resistance to surface stress cracking cell breakdown in this application. It should be noted that stress cracking will occur. When it occurs is dependent on variables including machine design, belt care, belt design, pulley radius, speed, operating environment, and age.
Belt life can be radically shortened if customers do not follow instructions in the belt care link below.
